Chocolate Medicine
Chocolate Medicine Band was formed by Dr. Mwanza Furaha in 2013 and she continues to handle the bands business and is the lead vocalist. The band currently includes Charlie Mirviss, piano/vocals; Jack Prendergast, bass/vocals and Carlton Carey, drums. Craig Caffall, guitar/vocals will be the band’s guest for the performance at the Marin County Fair. Chocolate Medicine is a multiple music genre band that plays Blues, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Pop, Country and more. The band recently performed in the Afro Solo 19th Annual Festival in San Francisco, has a major concert scheduled in Sebastopol in July and several dates scheduled into next year. Dr. Mwanza has been performing throughout the Bay Area for sixty-seven years and is one of the most exciting and entertaining performers in the area. All of the band members are proud to be Senior Citizens and are professional musicians with very long careers.
